This in fact worked for me. Switching to google DNS last night made a world of difference. I started the download at 7:30. By 10 it had only reached 46%. I put in the Google DNS, paused the download, tested service, resumed downloading, and I was playing Destiny before 11. 50%/1 hour vs. 50%/2.5 hours. So a 250% increase in downloading speed
